Our Lineage
Our Heritage
Here is a brief overview of those martial artists that have significantly influenced the "Corpus Lineage".
Our Founder and the Force behind all Kajukenbo.
Sijo Adriano Emperado is a special man. To be in his presence alone has a long lasting effect. We have been honored with the many opportunities to spend time with him and treasure each moment, we do. Early this year in Maui, we had the chance to experience his sense of humor.. He is KAJUKENBO!
Introducing Sijo Adriano Emperado
Ah Gung Tony Ramos
Ahgung Tony was one of five pioneers who brought Kajukenbo to the Mainland from Hawaii. He is the founder of the Kajukenbo National Federation (KNF). Ahgung, a respected father, uncle, leader, instructor and family friend, always had a soft spot for his children in the Kajukenbo family. He is missed dearly.
Grand Master Emil Bautista
In 1967, Ahgung promoted Emil Bautista to Black Belt. In 1968, Grand Master opened the doors of his dojo in Vallejo, CA where he still teaches today. His dojo has the honor of being designated KSDI, Headquarters of Northern California by our founder, Sijo Adriano Emperado. Emil is one of only 10 Kajukenbo dignitaries, selected by Sijo in 2007, to hold a position on Sijo's BOARD OF ADVISORS. Professor truly admires and respects Grandmaster as teacher, mentor and Kaju father!
